I am getting diesel fuel leaking from the injection pump area, on my 1420 combine.
It starts dripping as soon as the ignition key is turned and the fuel pump starts. A slow steady drip. It will continue for a while after the key is turned off.
Otherwise the engine runs fine.
I've checked as best I can looking at the pump, and the leak doesn't seem to be coming from any of the cylinder fuel lines, where they attach to the pump. Seems to be coming more from the forward (towards the engine) area.
There's an engine brace in the way, that I may have to try to remove to get a better look.
Just wondering for some advice, basic troubleshooting steps to find out where this is coming from. And how to fix. Thanks for any advice!
