I have a 1466 i bought with a blown motor Rod went through block....want to get it back up and going. I have a chance to buy a dt466 motor and was wondering what mods would i have to change...my main concern is the CAM. Will the cam be the same as in the 436 or will it lug the same? I know I will put the original turbo manifold and injector pump...but what about cam and injectors? any advice is helpful and thx in advance!

Ft cover , rear plate . Oil pan and pick up . And not knowing what pump is on the 466 weather it is automotive or Industrial ?? and Flywheel .

I did this several years ago with my 1066, In addition to what the vet said, I had to reuse tractor manifolds, injection pump, and just some other minor things. very straight forward, and all in all not to bad of a job.

Dont worry about cam as long you use what we called the long block of the DT466, thats the engine stripped down to basic block & head assembled with crankshaft & camshaft, rods, oil pump & valves, camshafts were all same timing & specs. There are differences in all the parts by year & model, but if you are getting a assembled stripped engine it should work.
