1470 and 2470 engine differences?

I have a 1470 which I believe has a rebuildable engine. I can buy a 2470 which was run without oil, but otherwise is okay. In the worst case that I could not rebuild the 2470 engine, will the 1470 engine block work in the 2470. I'd still like to use the 2470 head, turbo, injection pump, etc.
