148 159 case swap

I have a 480 case backhoe with a bad 148 eng , I can get a 159 out of a 530 both are gas the 159 just been rebuilt they look about the same I can get any and all parts , will they swap is the question

They should swap just fine. The issues that you have to watch for are: 1) the length of the engine block, distance between bell housing and front housing, 2) spacing between the two big top bolts in the bell housing, 3) how the engine oil filter is configured on the block. It should be horizontal so it doesn't interfere with the power steering reservoir.

Thanks for the reply , things look the same but there not sitting side by side I need to take some pictures and measurements just concerned about something I can't see on the outside
