148 and 158 loaders

I have a couple of questions about these loaders. What years were they produced? Also would either of these make a good fit for a 72 4320? What model came after these two that are comparable in size and the years made? Thanks for any help.

I can't answer when or what replaced them, but I will say that both are great fits for 4020s which means they will be great for a 4320 as well. I have the 158, dad has the 148 (on 4020s) and both have their good points and bad, 158 has way more lift height and reach, is built way way heavier, sticks out so much it can get in the way, is a lot of weight to bounce on the front axle goingn down a crappy road, almost indesctructable, but that means a ton of weight. The 148 is much smaller lighter and you feel that differance in everything you do with it, it doesn't get in teh way near so much, can't stack bales as high, reach over fences to dump a bale into the rack vs going into teh muddy lot etc.

The loader next in line to the 148/158 would have been the 260/265. Gained quicktach mounts ans buckets. Next would be 720. Little heaver not self leveling.
