165 serial number

I'm having trouble finding a serial number on my 165.
The numbers stamped on the transmission, engine and back-end don't correspond to any serial numbers listed.
Can someone show me where to find a serial number as I would like to replace the clutch and need a serial number to do so.

It SHOULD be on a small metal plate (approx. 2" X 3") located on the sheet metal that encloses the battery, below the steering wheel, just in front of the shifter levers. It SHOULD be there, held on by 4 small screws.

Yup, like MF Poor says, if it's there it's right on the dash panel, in front of the shifters on the bottom of the panel.

if its a gray machine the numbers will be on a plate under your right foot, on side of transmission, under brake pedal.
