1650 head on a 88

i have a 1949 88 gas, wondering if a 1650 head will bolt on with no mods? does anything need to be changed?
 
Not sure on a 88 I did put a 1600 head on a 880 had to block 2 water ports in the back of the head with pound in soft plugs.
