1655 hydraulic problem HELP!!!!!!

i have a 1974 1655 diesel. the hydraulics are slow. the power steering works fine and the three point is strong. but the remotes are slow and wont do anything at an idle. you must rev it up and it will only open the round baler door about half way. i changed the fluid and filter but it still doesnt work right. any ideas??? thanx

Try taking a shimm out of the relief valve. Might have to take out more than one. Don't throw them away.

I have a 2-70 White, same basic tractor, engine has to be at 1000 rpm in order to work remotes. In fact, thats what the manual states.

even at full throttle the hydraulics are weak.

this tractor doesnt have the adjustable relief valve
