1655 valve protrusion

I forgot a ps. I take a copy of it with me to the machine shop when I have an oliver head done for me or someone else. Then I double check because the first time they didn't follow it and they ground the seats you dont grind seats in the diesel you use new to get the protrusion right so i had then do it again.

I reminded you of this over a year ago. Also make sure they use alloy seats for the intake seatas well. More questions?

Cleon: it is your tractor and you are doing the work. Since you probably don't do this too often I think (in case you have not) I would remove the engine from the frame and completely check everything especially main bearing clearances, oil pump clearance and the area of the lower counterbores for the sleeves. I will need to look but send me an e-mail or a snail mail address and I can make you a copy of the bulletins of checks that they issued. Questions? J/

As we say in the South, thank ya'll very much.
djm75 I would appreciate that service bulletin my email is [email protected]. And Mr.Schwiebert I will send you an email as well I already have your email address. Thanks again.

Please send me specs as well as I trying to get ready for a 310 block and head rebuild and want to do it right as well. [email protected] I am waiting on Ebay parts and service manuals to come in and wonder if the oliver manuals have out of date engine specs in them as to liner height, one piece rod bushings etc etc and valve seat height and updates, sure would be cool to start a thread on what the best 310 rebuild procedures should cover. How about turning up the oil pump more than factory and installing a larger oil filter conversion kit, what the best head gasket to use, are new head bolts still available, how about gears in the oil pump, are they still availble, is a rebuilt pump offered anywhere or who has nos pumps?? Are those valve seats from Agro or where?? What head gasket set is the best? Thanks in advance.
