1740 uniloader motor swap

Would a 4 cylinder gas motor out of a 310 case crawler bolt in place of the G188d diesel that was normally in the uniloader? Thanks for any replies.

the 1737 had a 148 gas engine( same machine as the 1740 ) does the one from the crawler have a three bolt starter? if so it should bolt right in but will be a few inches shorter so the front mount may have to be modified, and the 1740 may have the provision for either engine
