185 planter depth bands

Question is I have planter mounter on a toolbar with gauge wheels out on the ends, are the depth bands necessary if I am using gauge wheels. If so does anyone know of a cheaper place to get them that the dealer???

I have depth bands but you should not need them with gague wheels

Thanks for the reply, I was thinking that they were not needed but wanted confirmation.
