1850 Cockshutt Oil Pan

Anyone know what kind of material the oil pan is on a 1850 (354 Perkins ) The whole area around there is leaking and I noticed the last guy that had it must have used a massive amount a of JB weld to try and fix the drain area. I will need to fix it properly just wondering if that is aluminium or what it is so I know what to weld with.

They are aluminum

Yes it is aluminum, just waiting for a pan gasket to put mine back on. Mine had a couple of cracks in it from someone jacking up on it. Just find a good welding shop or a good buddy and it will be an easy fix. The pan is a bit of a challenge to get off and back on, just have some patience. I'm getting my gasket from Agco but they may be available after market. Maybe someone can chime in from where.

Just remember the 1850 is a trunion mounted engine so the pan gasket is longer than on other 354 Perkins pan gaskets.
