haveing trouble getting long shaft out . so i can pull motor.any ideas

If you took the O -ring out the problem you are probably having is the spline on the shaft has to pass throught 2 sets of splines. They are not lining up. Some people said to us an impac on the long bolt and pull back at the same time.I am going to be gone but check on the achives on the Oliver form. J.

As J says;O-ring has to come out,then the shaft has to go thru a couple sets of splines.Either push the shaft in all the way and turn slightly and try pulling again(takes patience) or use a bolt in end of the shaft while using an impact air gun while pulling.Comes every time.

First remove the snap ring and plug then the O/ring . Then take a long bolt and i think it is a 1/2 inch course thread add a washer and a piece of plastic hose - tubing that is loose on the bolt for a handle and take a impact wrench to it and spin and pull she will come wright out. Worked on some OIL ALL OVERS and this trick was showed to me by this area's top Oliver mechanic , The dealership that he worked for would drag in just about any color and they had nobody that knew the I H tractors and the owner would have me come up and work on the red ones and at times when they were swamped i would go up and help out for a few days . SO he taught me the olivers and i taught him the in's and out of the red ones.
