It's not my tractor but someone was asking me for advice. The cam shaft broke from hyd pump and I was wondering if this is an interference engine? He is also looking for a triple stage hyd pump and camshaft.

Most any direct injected diesel is an interference engine. If crank turns but cam does not more than likely there will be some push rods bent, rocker arms and valves damaged.

Virtually all overhead valve engines built in the last 50 years will bend valves if things get out of time. Certainly all direct injection diesels. The list of engines that won't is VERY small. Agco sells kits to rebuild the pumps or there are new ones available aftermarket.
