has any one ever had trouble with breaking power director plates on a 190 xt this is the second time ive done it

the guy that I bought my 190xtd from had loaded duals. The plates in it were worn down but bot broken.

Would you share the symptoms? I have a lame 190 that I suspect the PD.

basicly i shifted from high to low and when i shifted back up to high io could feel it slipping. its not the first time its happened so i knwo how to fix it. im just wondering why it happens

Theres supposed to be a gear in the PD that you need to check to make sure no teeth are broke off on; a fella named Mack whos a longtime AC mechanic posted this one time ; and Im sure he knows his stuff, he said that the plates will break if this gear is chipped ; or I have ran across the plate hubs being wore out and they cant make good enough contact, hydraulic pressue has to be correct and constant to the PD plates or it will slip and you cant slip them long and they will fail !!
