New to the forum, but hoping someone can help me out. Found a B for sale that is said to run real well, but the current owner has disassembled much of it with plans to paint it. Lost interest/has different priorities now and wants to sell it. It does not have a starter. Sheetmetal looks to be pretty good shape and fair tires, but I cannot hear it run due to being torn apart. Engine is still together and everything appears to be there, rims are good, etc... Any thoughts on what this may be worth? Thank you

Dis-assembled means a much lower selling price...

Maybe as low as scrap price...

800 to 1000 if its all there..its no fun trying to redo a tractor someone else took apart...just make sure everythings there..its the little stuff that adds up

Depends on your definition of fun. I bought an "H" in pieces just for the challenge of putting back together. :S

I bought a 1941 b two yrs ago for 300 bucks out in waterloo, ia. it was a mess. should have gne to the scrap yard but I coldnt let that hapen. It now runs great and it almost finished up. But I have learned the valuable lesson of restoring old tractors. In a conversation with PAt Browning...wonderful guy.....told me its cheaper to buy one already running and done than to do it yourself. But the journey with my 4 young boys and my father has been worth far more.

It is a parts tractor the way it sits. Just like any non-running tractor, you don't know what you have until you get into it. Price it accordingly.
