i have a 44b all fuel tractor that iam using to grind feed pulling a #88 stover hammer mill, that is in inside our mill. we pull the tractor in the engine room and hook the belt on it and it turns a line shaft that the hammer mill is hooked to on the floor above. we ground 1200 lbs. of corn in about an hours time,i had to run the tractor ar nearly wide open throttle the entire time.my question is,is this to much load on this tractor or were they made to do this hard of work? it was working pretty hard but the temp never got over 190.but there was some smoke coming from the oil cap breather. this is
a restored tractor except for an engine rebuild as it starts and runs very well.need advice on this matter as i dont want to destroy my toy. thanks in advance.
