1949 Z radiator gaskets

I need to buy at least (4) four of these gaskets and cannot find them ... Please advise ... Often mentioned OLSONS Gaskets does not have them !!! please advise ... THANKYOU .... ALAN B .

Which gasket are you referring to?? There is a gasket on the water inlet manifold that takes 2 of those... Part #RE508 and there is is a gasket between water pump and Manifold that takes 2 of those... Part #RE520. Some gaskets you can no longer buy seperate. You sometimes have to go to a place like Tractor Supply and buy a roll of gasket material and make your own new one by drawing an outline of the metal and making the proper holes in it. If that is what you are referring to..JB

Sorry , part of the message is delited ... subject is 1949 or latter Z - ZA - etc: Rubber Radiator gaskets for cast Iron Header's ...ten holes in top ... ten holes on bottum . HELP !!! I've been looking for these over a month . ALAN B .

Alan,
I use the rubberized cork gasket material you get in a roll at an autoparts store. 1/8" seems to work good. You have to cut it out to match your core/tanks. I've used this on several bolt in core radiators with a thin layer of silicone sealant on both sides and I don't have any leaks yet.

Alan,

I did the radiator on my ZA a few months ago and I cut my own gaskets for it. It is very easy to do and I just used some 1/16" gasket material I bought at NAPA. I sealed everything with high temp silicone and it worked very well. Good luck!

THANKYOU ; DEADEYE , ZACK and BMG1 I new this as a last resort but you'll have encouraged me !!! ... I have a 335 to restore ... Are they a good farm tractor ?? ALAN B .

Thankyou guy's for your responce to my Radiator Delima !! New Item ... I have a 335 to restore ... Do they make a good small Farm Tractor ?? Please advise ..... ALAN B .

Alan,

Yes, they make a really nice small farm tractor. We've got a 335 utility and a row crop that both run well. The utility is much more common and is probably more useful than a comparable Ford tractor. If you've got the ampli-torq the tractor will go slow enough for tilling, mowing heavy brush, etc. They've also got good power and live pto & hydraulics. I've seen these tractors with loaders on them too, although the front axle might be a little light for heavy lifting. All in all a very nice compact machine that's easy and comfortable to operate. To top it all of, they look cool too!
