1951 Case DC

The original subject was "1951 Case DC".

Could you please email us a picture of your case tractor. We have a case and the numbers we found on the plate located behind steering wheel say DC 8025965. on block we found the Pat. #2234735. We are not sure what year are tractor is. We are also looking for rims to fit back tires size 38-12. If you can help us please email use back. If you know a way we can find out the year of our tractor please also let us know.

Your DC is a 1953 model. In 1953 Case went to a different system for determining the year (from the older subtract 4 from the 1st two numbers method). You have one of the last year DC's that may have foot clutch, deluxe seat and 4" aluminum pistons. Check the engine block lip that bolts to the tranny housing (by the air cleaner) to see if the engine number is the same as the serial plate number. If so, it is the original engine. Don

don could you please show us how you arrived at the year because By our tractor saying 8025965, I still can't figure out how you arrived at a 1953. thank you so much. Just alittle slow at figuring this out.

Beginning in 1953, the serial numbers were assigned in blocks; there was no correlation between the digits and the year. You need a listing to see what numbers correspond with what years.
Get a copy of "Full Steam Ahead" as the lists are in there.
