I just bought a 52 "60" The front pedestal goes up into the belly frame thru a hole with no obvious bolts. The 54 "60" I had some time ago had the 4 bolt pedestal. How is this one attached? Anything else on the 52 that was different than the later ones? Thanks---

The rear wheels are different on a 52, 53, and extremely early 54 models, they have large oval holes in the castings often called window wheels. Later models used the same F1500R wheel casting as they used all the way up to 4010 tractors. Also some of the Early 60 all fuels had a single barrel carburetor rather than the dual induction. The 52, 53, Models had a center fill gas tank, meaning the filler neck is in the center and towards the back of the hood, rather than towards the front and off to the flywheel side. Your pedestal that doesn't show any bolts underneath and goes up through the frame is bolted on the inside behind the grill to the frame, to remove it it would have to go out the top of the frame, it wont fit through the bottom. 52 and 53 didn't have power-steering as an option from the factory, the 60 low seat standard chassis wasn't available until 1954, then replaced by the high seat standard in 1955 an 1956. The Hi Crop version was available from the start of production in 1952. LP engines weren't an option until 1954. Theres some tid bits of info for ya hope it helps

have one just like, it's a one piece pedistal.
Ours doesn't have factory power steering.
has a charlyn unit on it.

Thanks for the info. Mine has the window pane wheels and the duplex carb. Otherwise I don't see much difference. Now if I can just find a set of matching rear tires----12.4x38 on it now. One Goodyear Tracton Torque and the other Goodyear Dyna Torque II long bar short bar. Good tread on both, but the Dyna torque is much taller. Be nice to find a trade off in Northeast Ohio
