1955 Ford 800

I have just obtained a Ford 800 and have plans to restore it.

I am in need of companies that provide parts and accessories for this tractor, can anyone provide me company names or individuals.

Bring up "external_link" on your screen; they will send you a catalog, free which will likely provide anything you need for your 800. Also check around and find a dealer who handles "Tisco" aftermarket tractor parts and accessories. If you are not previously experienced with the Ford 800 series, just take this advice. When you get your tractor running, be careful if it's not ballasted, you will have so much greater power than you do weight that in some situations could get you in trouble. Been there, done that. A Ford 800 without liquid and or rear wheel weights is basically a VERY powerful engine on 4 wheels and little else. Weight an 800 down and you have a powerful pulling tractor very capable of handling heavy loads. I'm basing these statements on personal experience. I once nearly got myself killed by an unballasted Ford 860. The Ford 800, well weighted is one of my alltime favorite tractors.

I'll have to break this email down or else it won't go thru . Write rip at charter internet dot com . I hope you can make this out ok . He has great parts at great prices . God bless, Ken

There are many dealers who handle restoration parts Dennis Carpenter 704-786-8139, George Bradish 724-539-8386. and Steiners tractor parts All of them have websites

Here are some links that may help.

John Smith's identifier page. After you look this one over, go back to his home page and click on "Used parts for sale". He might have an item or two that you're looking for.

First, thank you for taking the time to answer my request.

Second, MY family has always been green and yellow but a very old and dear friend passed the 800 to me if I promised to bring it back to like new.

I read the specs on it and the horse power is very surprising. I was amazed at the rating, because like you I have been close to staring down on a tractor from high above on my way to another place and have great respect for them.

Many thanks for your time and information. It is appreciated to be sure.

Keith
