My 1955 injection pump is leaking fuel from the back side (on the side next to the engine that I cannot see.) Is there anything I can do to fix this without an expensive trip to an injection pump shop? Thanks for any help.

It depends where its leaking. Some pumps have a rubber hose on the back side replaceable.Sometimes the washers sealing the lines can leak.Sometimes the seal on the govner cover leaks.

Pump can leak from several places. Just sent back a pump to Illinois for a MM that had throttle shaft leaks and stuck internal parts from old stale fuel. May be the stop shaft on yours since that is next to the block.

These pumps arent that expensive to reseal. I charge 350.00. Guess it is where you send them. I hear horror stories of guys paying 600.00 or more. Pick somewhere that will work with you. It only costs 12.00 to mail one of these to anywhere in the US using USPS
