i need help. i am reringing my 770. i have a overhaul manual but the torque values doesnt sound right. the connecting rod torque says 600 in lbs and the head torque says 1,200 in lbs the valve adjustment says .015 ring gap says -10 so i am really puzzled if you can help i really appreicate it.thx jim

Waukesha did that for a while. You need to convert the inch pounds to foot pounds. 46-50 foot pounds on the rods, 117 on the head Except the oil screw which is 100, 010 on the intake valves,016 on the exhaust valves. Not any closer than 010 on the rings. I can double check my book when I get home later this week.

i just want to thank you so much, for your help. i use to build airplane recip engine and some car engines,so i thought the torque values was to much.thx again.jim
