Is there an easy way to clean up the corrosion inside the cast carb??

Yes, put carb in blast cabinet with glass beads.

Now, you must remove all nozzles jets etc.

After blasting, blow out with air, soak or flush out carb with cleaner. As a final cleaning I use steel twist brushes down each opening followed by another cleaning.

Carb will be as new.
