I recently bought a Case 446 with the Onan engine 2 cylinder opposed engine. The last owner had installed a electric fuel pump and it proceeded in blowing gas past the neddle and seat. I think that I need a new carb with the vacuum fuel pump attached. Next problem The local Cummins dealer priced the combination for $324.30 Is there a better source? I told that I was looking for Case parts, not John Deere and he just kept on punching the keyboard on his computor.

I have changed several 446's from vacuum to electric fuel pump. You need an electric fuel pump rated about 1.5-3.5 PSI. Some fuel pumps are 5-6 PSI, and they will flood the carburetor continually. Most auto parts carry both pressure ranges for about $40. Make sure that you mount it away from engine heat. Jack
