Hey there. Got a JD 510-C. This problem just started today.
Basically I'll be doing something nominal like lifting my bucket or pushing it into the ground at a low RPM (Near Idle). Suddenly the tractor decides to go FULL THROTTLE and the engine revvs up to what seems to be max. The strange part is that the linkage doesn't seem to move when this happens. It's still set to low idle. The goose pedal doesn't move either...
I can get it to stop by moving my throttle control up and back down. The engine then returns to normal. A friend said it might be a stuck governor but I feel like if that was the case, I'd be at a high-rpm and not be able to bring it back down to low. Any thoughts?
Thanks.
