I have a 2-105 with 4800 hrs showing. I bought it cheap, took rusted out cab off, put some 4 digit fenders on it, new floor boards etc. We have a local pull with a 12500 class that my Son helps run. There are never many tractors in the class, usualy just my 1900 and one or 2 binders, so they talked me into taking the 2=105. So I went at it and put a bigger charger on it off of a 2nd gen dodge, and turned the CAV pump up, or so I thought? My question here is did I turn the pump up? I took cover plate off, removed the two small screws that hold a 1/2 inch or so thick disc up against a thinner plate that I turned 4 complete turns clockwise as looking down from the top of the pump. This was done the morning of the pull, and I really did not have time to test it out, but I did notice it did not seem to smoke much more than it did before. I go to the pull and get beat by my 1900, a 1066, and a D21. And not just by a little. It didn"t seem to smoke hardly at all even under full load. I am hoping someone on this forum knows a bit about these CAV pumps? Did I turn the plate the wrong way. Any help would be appreciated Thanks Tom
