we have a 105 that has to have ether in 60 degree weather checked filters runing out of ideas where do i look next tractor has 3400 hours

larry h,

If you have run out of ideas already (just filters - and they won't alter a thing), take it to a shop where they can fix it.

Could be timing, pump, injectors, compression (valves, valve seats, rings, bores, pistons).

3400 hours? Are you sure of that? How has it been treated in that time? How long has it been like this? Just starting cold or, hot as well?

My view? If it has been ethered a lot, rings are likely busted. But we don't know how this thing has been run, abused or what.

IF rings are broken, likely pistons will be out of spec. Bores might also be getting hammered if it is like that for some time, so probably a new set of liners, pistons needed.

Sounds like a fair expense is a likely possibility. It will only get worse if not fixed.

It's your primary fuel pump. The one that pushes the fuel up through the filters to the injector pump.

354 hard to start must have low compression or starter is dragging (slow)
or it could need a injection tuneup ... our old massey combine with 354 started good
