2-135 hyd oil heating

The hydraulic temp light comes on on my 2-135 Series 3 after about 2 and a half hours of hard use. At first,I thought it had to do with the 3 point when I was plowing,but now it's coming on after about two and a half hours discing. I've changed the filter,it's full of hytran,cooler is clean. Any ideas?

The 50 series Olivers have a turnbuckle in the linkage from the 3 point lever that has to be adjusted so there is some play in it at the top,does the 135 have a similar setup that might be out of adjustment? That's the only thing I can think of.

You might have a leak somewhere which would be making the oil heat up. It is hard to know where it might be. Anyone else? I personally would not use Hy-Tran, but I don't think that is the reason for the heating.

Is your hyd oil really getting hot/ maybe you have a bad sensor.

Your hydrualic pump may be worn. I had the same problem. I replaced the pump and did not have any problems since.

Mr. Lund you need to do some more checking. You do have an internal leak. Now all that needs to be done is find it. Send me an e-mail

I've thought about that,but I don't have a temp guage that I can drop in the fill hole to actually check the temp. I took the pressure washer to it the other day to wash the windows and sprayed off under the cab. It dried off pretty quick and made a little steam,so I think it must be getting fairly warm. I just don't want to crystalize any seals or O-rings by letting it get too hot.

It's not actual Hytran,it's autoparts store brand but says it meets the requirements for White then gives a couple of numbers. Says it replaces IH Hytran and Deere HyGuard etc. Been thinking I might have to drain the whole thing out and change it entirely. Wondering if it might have moisture in it or something. I cleaned the little breather filter up under the cab,thought it might be keeping some moisture from evaporating off. Don't know,I'm still stumped. Thought when I put new rubber mounts under the cab,I might have thrown some linkage off or something.

That's what I'm afraid of. Just wonder if it's in the 3pt or remotes? I can hear a little bit of a "chatter" or "pulse" down near the pump when it's running warm. Not as familiar with this as I am the 00 and 50 series Olivers. Book says something about a relief valve might cause overheating. Where is it? Right down by the pump I assume,but I don't want to start tearing into things blindly.
