I"m needing an up draft carb with the throttle opening measuring 2 3/8". I"ve been told they are off of a deere combine. Not sure if they came on anything else? Does anyone know what model or the model number of the carb so i can track one down easier. thanks

Prob looking for a aircraft carb Stromberg NR 7 or the larger NR9 Ask on Pull Off.com they are on ther frome time to time

No, i"m not looking for an air plane carb. this has to be an agricultural style. I thought that they came off a John Deere combine but not sure. Does someone know what size throttle throat the carb on the 7700 or 105 deere combines had? Or even the 4010 and 4020 gas tractors?

I can assume it's to be a 2 3/8 air inlet and not throttle bore, because none of them are capable of that large of throttle bore.

I do not know on the 105 combine and 4020 carbs what size the inlet is, but I'm guessing that's what to look for. USX 21 I beleve.

I do know that the 7700 and the larger continental engines used one that is larger than 2 3/8

I"m sorry. Its a 2 3/16 throttle bore that i"m looking for. Not a 2
3/8. They might have been on an industrial engine?

The Bendix carb that was on 7700 gas combines has a 1 7/8 inch bore where the carb meetes the manifold. I have seen larger carbs that I believe zenith made and look somewhat similar to to the combine carb, but they are rare. A stromberg would would be your best bet. They are easy to come by and very simple. Good luck.

There were a few large 2 bolt Zenith carbs made with a 2 3/16" Throttle bore. They will look identical to a 7700 John Deere Combine carb on the outside. I will look thru my carbs to see if I have one. The 4020/ 105 Combine JD carb has a 1 5/8 throttle bore.
