2001 Loader Needed

Neighbor just called and his International loader arms got bent so he is looking for a parts loader, or possibly whole loader if the price is right. It is a 2001 with single dump cylinder from the label on it. The part that is bent is the cross part that the dump cylinder mounts to. The closer to south central Indiana the better. Do you know of any tractor salvage yards that might have what he is needing?

Just cut out the cross tube abd weld in a new one cheaper than a loader and easier than changing a loader. Piece of 3x4 1/4 wall tube should do the job fine thicker if you want. Would weld in pretty easy especially if you raise the loader as you weld to help keep it more on a flat position to weld on.

The cross piece that is bent is more triangle shaped and welded on both ends. If we don't find a replacement, we might have to go that route.

I have a 504 utility with a factory installed 2001 loader and the cross piece on mine has also been damaged over the years. I attribute it to lifting big round bales. The cross piece is a weak point and mine has also been repaired and the best thing to do is have a competent welder cut out the damaged sections and weld in new steel plate. Ideally something a bit thicker than the original to help minimize the flexing caused by the center cylinder. A used 2001 loader will not be easy to find--especially one with an undamaged center piece.

Ye cut out the old and make NEW about a three to four hour job . The 2001 loaders were meant for light work not doing something a 988 Cat should be doing . The 2000 that was used on the bigger tractors would handle a BUNCH and at times more the the ft. axle spindles would stand.
