Has any one ever seen one? I asked an old Oliver dealer about this tractor and showed they a picture of one and they had never herd of one. He said that there was no 2000 Oliver and was a 2050 but the 2055 was cut from the line due to a 1955T having about the same horse power as the 2050. Dose anyone have one or know were one is. I would be interested to see one or to buy one. This is just one of those tractors that has hooked my curiosity. Bandit

This tractor if im not mistaking is the same as an MM G-1050. I seen my first one tonight while reading the lancaster paper. Theres an article of Greg Pisareck of New Hope PA. He collects MM"s and happens to have a 2055 in the picture with the article. Hope this helps, Toby.

Yeah, they were MM tractors. It is the next size smaller version of the 2155 that we have 2 of. The 2155 is a G-1350 Moline. If I remember correctly Shep from Va has one. It is a G-105 like Toby said. These tractors were left over MM's. when Oliver bought out MM. There were only about 210 oliver 2155's, so I imagine the 2055 were about the same number. These are 100 percent MM tractors.

I looked up the 2055 and it says that it only built in 1971 and there were no numbers of tractors built. Got alot of old Oliver and MM guys around here sratching there heads on this one. Must be the needle in the hay stack I am looking for. Bandit

A guy south of me had one. He was MM collector. He traded it off for a 2-150 to farm with. There are less of them than the Oliver models painted yellow.

I have one. I bought her out of Kansas about 4 years ago.

From what I have found there were only about 32 ever built and out of that 32 there were 6, inculding mine, that started life as a yellow G-1050 and were sent back to the factory and repainted and rebadged as a 2055. My tractor has a 2055 Oliver serial plated with a 1970 G-1050 serial number.

I have never seen another one in person but there have been some pictures of some at shows.

I am planning on getting mine cleaned up a little better over the next year and try to take it to some shows around.

Ask if you have any questions.

It is a pretty sweet looking and running tractor. It needs some paint on the rims and a new set of tires on the rear and it will be ready for a show. The really neat thing about this tractor is you can see some of the yellow paint showing through the green where it used to be a Moline before it was changed to an Oliver.

The story with this tractor is that it sat on a lot in eastern Kansas from early 1970 as a G-1050 moline until late 1971 and it did not sell. My tractor is 43-100-307, according to records I have. 43-100-308 was sitting next to it as a diesel G-1050 and they were both shipped back to the factory in late 1971 where they were both changed to Oliver 2055s and sent back to the same dealer and were both sold sometime in 1972.

My tractor lived in eastern Kansas most of its life and the engine was taken out and overhauled at the moline dealer about 10 years ago and everyone remembers it because it was a green moline engine.

It currently has about 3400 hours on it and as you can see it still gets used quite a bit, but it gets taken care of very well.

They are rated at 110HP with the 504 diesel moline engine, but I think both my 504s are pushing a little more than that. I have not had it on the dyno but it can play with my cummins olivers pretty good.

On these big moline engines the little things make a big difference, such as thinner head gaskets, correct valve pertrusion, newer valve springs, and by doing lots of little things to the engine the next thing you know it is pulling a 13 ft discbine like it owns it...

Sorry to get long winded, but I love talking tractors...

Good info. I was impressed with it pulling that discbine. I'd have a name for a nice tractor like that. Around these parts (N. Wisc)we often name the machines after the old timers who used to own them. Otherwise MM crossed with Oliver = Molly! Got to love tractors.

You are exactly right LOL, that is what we call that tractor---- Molly.

I have names for most of my tractors too, because normally there is something odd about them or the way I got them, so that is how they get their names.

How about my G-1355 with the 585 moline engine and a turbo pushing 180Hp ++. I got her from the Louisiana bayou and we call her the Ragin Cagun...

You know I have seen some odd tractors in my days but the Olivers MM and Cockshuts in the early 70s are a diffrent bread all together. I got to admit these tractors have there hooks in me. I would like to own a 2055 put I dont think I ever will, they seam to be few and far between, But I still like a good hunt! Bandit

I have a 1050 lpgas that I believe is a 2055,It has a Minn.Moline tag but green paint was under the yellow paint.Had holes for the oliver side emblems and trim.We painted it back green and decaled it as an Oliver. My son and I pull it in farm stock class, with the turbo and other little things done to it were putting out over 300 horses.Love beating those diesels with spark plugs.Rich

Yeah, I saw that article. It is really a shame to see all those Molines rusting away at his farm, they could be some really nice trators. Said that he has only restored one of the 90 tractors that he has and it appears the rest are sitting outside in a row.

That was a 2055 in the picture though.
