Hi Looking at a 2240 with 145 loader and 165 backhoe About 2500hrs. Decent condition

What would a fair price be?

Agree with others about value. But you might want to look closely to verify the 2500 hours. That is pretty low for a 40ish year old machine. Look for wear on the clutch and brake pedals. Use FEL to lift front end off the ground, and feel for wear/looseness in all the joints in the front axle. How is the BH mounted? 3ph or frame mount? Look for wear there too. BHs can be rough on the tail end of an Ag tractor.

If you are not familiar with the 2240, you might want to search here about some of the other things to look for. Engine block cavitation, internal hydraulic line cracks.
