2470 info required

I'm thinking of purchasing a 2470, but I need a bit of info on a few things to make sure its suitable for my purposes. This tractor has only done 6770hrs, & has had the eng & trans rebuilt 1800hrs ago. I intend to use the tractor on my 2200 acre forest property,mulching, rock crushing, log loading & hauling, & what appeals to me is the 4 wheel steering, as my forest tracks are fairly tight, so this would give me more manoeuvrability.
1; what category is the 3pt hitch & how much can it lift? I need to be able to pick up a knukle boom log crane that weighs just under 3t.
2; would the 3pt linkage handle this crane working from it?, the cranes support legs will be used while the crane is operating, in other words, the tractor is the counter-weight/support only when in use, but the crane is a fairly serious bit of gear.
3; how reliable is the pto? I intend to use all the available power from it when I do use the pto.
4; will the back axle handle this heavy crane on it, or am I going to exceed the axle rating? I imagine that being 4 wheel steer, that a possible weak point are the axle/wheel pivots.
5; is there any easy way to gear this tractor down?, I need slightly less than 1/2 mph in 1st gear. I would even consider a complete trans change, if I can find out if these tractors used a std type flywheel housing. I would look at something out of a later model Case/ih, for instance an 18 speed p/s, so long as 1st gear gets me the speed reduction, & would be nice to still keep the same or there abouts, top speed, but thats not essential.
I dont seem to be able to find any info like this, hence asking you guys.

First --I only know for sure they have a cat3 hitch. Pto will handle full power course it is a 1000rpm pto. You can see some of specks on((tractor data .com))2470 tractors have power shift transmissions. Tractor data says low gear gear speed is 2 mile per hr.

I once read that the three point will handle 10,000 lbs, but I have seen bent lift links on these hitches. The axles were built for Case by Eaton, so perhaps they could offer some idea of the capacity.

Ok, so it has cat 3 linkage, but 10,000lbs isn't much, 'cause by my calc's a rough estimate, thats only about 4.5t!
The reason I asked about the pto, is the fact that I'll be using it at full load for extended periods & the tractor will be either stationary, or only in 1st gear, so if the pto has long term issues, when I'm really asking for the most from it, then this is what I was hoping to find out, ie; it will over heat the pto box. It will be used to run a Kesla 4560 forestry chipper/grinder, that can take all the power it can get up to 200hp, so its going to be really working hard, plus the hyd will be used to run the crane to feed it. I've had a look on the tractor data.com site & got that info, but some of the info I need is not on there, hence my post on this site, & thats the reason for the info req on gearing down, or a trans change.The trans is a 4 speed range change with 3 speed p/s + rev.
Does any one have a data plate on the axles, that is still readable? If so would you be willing to give me the details that are on it,that way I can contact Eaton, & give them that info, & will stand a better chance of getting the info on the axles.
Does anyone know if case used their own size/bolt pattern for the flywheel housing [trans bell housing] or is it made to a std ie sae 1,2,or 3, or has it stayed the same as yrs have gone by, re a trans change to a case/ih 7290 or similar model case 200hp tractor that has the 18spd full p/s trans, but would need to find out the ratio in 1st gear for both trans's, so I could do some calc's to make sure it would be low enough. By the way, to those that are reading this, I'm a mechanical fitter/welder by trade, with hydraulics & electrical experience as well, & I do all my own repairs/maintainence & alterations myself. I currently own a komatsu dozer, jcb 2 cx loader/b-hoe, & have just recently bought an international 412b elevating scraper. Any info I get from other sources, for this model tractor, I will quite happily share with you all, by posting it on this site.

The 2470 and 2670 hitch is rated at 12,000 lbs.

If your going to do stationary pto work. Keep the powershift out of reverse, you will smoke the tranny.
