2510 syncro throwout bearing

As the 2510 syncro is currently
split for rear crank seal
replacement (done) and clutch R&R
(not done), I notice that the
transmission thrust bearing spins
a little rough. The larger PTO
bearing seems fine.

Looking through old posts here, it
sounds like the transmission
thrust bearing can be removed from
the shaft using a slide hammer.
Any thoughts? I don't currently
have any leaks into the bell
housing from the transmission
side, and I would like to keep it
that way.

Service manual has it done with a
second tractor split.

Replace it unless you would rather split it later when the bearing seizes and cuts the fingers off.
