263 bore size

I believe the stock bore on a C-263 is 3-9/16" [3.5625"], with the stock sleeves. I've been told that the block can be bored for a thin-wall sleeve and you can easily make a C-291 out of it, with a 3-3/4" [3.750"] bore. Not sure if it's worth trying to make a 301 out of it [3-13/16" bore], but it seems possible.

I have a c301 that has a bore of 4 inch. The machine shop that bored it said it sounded really good when it was being bored. I also built a c301 that had a bore of 3 15/16. You have to have a good block. The 4 inch block is for sale. Hope this helps.
