I need help I'm putting back together a case 267d i4 engine with balancer oil pump, how do I clock crank rotation to oil pump rotation. No timing mark on crank gear? I assume needs to be clocked?

Put 2 of the pistons TDC using timing marks. Let the weights in the balancer hang down and bolt it up. Gravity will do the work for you.

Doesn't matter. The engine spins half as fast as the balancer so it will be right in either place.

I think you better find the timing marks and line them up ( yes it has them), get it wrong and it will jump off the ground when you start it up!

Brent,

Here is a page from a 730 service manual,

it is for a 3 gear balancer ,if you have a

later tractor you will have a 2 gear balancer.

They are similar , but the balancer housing

is turned around and plumbing changed to

match.
