2705 experience?

Does anyone have any experience with a 2705 massey? I have found one for sale that seems cheap for a 120hp tractor. Just wondering if they"re cheap for a reason.

8 or 24 speed trams.? we had a 2705 and it was a great tractor BUT we took care of it and it was a 8 speed. the early 24 speed were bad news but then again how was it taken care of

The 24 speed transmissions have a very bad reputation. Very expensive to fix when broken.

The 354 engine (along with the Case 504) are the best engines ever put in tractors.

Having said that, our 2705 (24 speed) is at 4000 hrs and still going strong. It has been a good tractor for us. As Marlow's, ours gets fairly good care.
