2750 problems

i was using my 2750 cab tractor yesterday when i heard a loud knocking noise coming from the motor, i opened the door and as long as the RPM's were up the engine had the knocking sound, but when i let it idle the knock stopped and you could hear a chirping sound, also at idle i had no oil pressure but if i reved it up some i had around 40 pounds of oil pressure, the tractor wasn't running hot and just had the oil changed in it a few weeks ago. did the motor blow or maybe the oil pump go bad????

My guess is the engine is blowed,,be prepare3d for a major O/H and posibly a crank shaft,,and hope it didn't spin a main bearing.

Could be the balancer shaft bushes , first thing to go on a Saran engine with low oil pressure . Don't run it any more , drop the sump and check the 2 shafts either side of the crank , the shafts run in 3 plain bushes . Once the bushes go the shafts very quickly eat into the block . If you are very lucky you might get away with just changing the bushes , but more likely the block is scrap .
