2N air cleaner

One more question on this 2N I looked at today. The air cleaner assembly pipe runs up thru the hood and sticks up a foot or more out of the top. Is this factory or did someone cut a hole in the hood and make their own air cleaner pipe? Thanks, John

I see them often and they look cool !

Heres one I found on photobucket , dont know who it is , just pulled it up under the search 9n ford .

I just posted my 2N on antique tractor photos with that type air cleaner. If I knew how I would link it here. I would like to sell it.

These were a factory option for heavy dust/debris work. They help to keep some of the dirt out to reduce cleaning time intervals on the oil bath cup. Here is one I get for my 1939 9N that already had the hole cut in the hood for this stack, but had a regular air cleaner.

Dan
