2N Brake shaft

Hello ya all,just bought a 47 2N with a lot of slop in the clutch pedal . I found upon tearing it apart that the bushing wore out then started wearing the shaft,wallored it out pretty good.Is the shaft replaceable?if so where can I get me one and how does it come out?if not any ideas on a fix?Thanks for any help.

If you can't find a replacement shaft, any welding/machine shop can weld up the shaft and turn it down for you, making it as good as new.

See there? Just when I was gonna chuck those in the scrapiron bin, along comes somebody needing 1.

I have several....probably cost more to ship it/them to you than its worth to me but, I still gotta pay my guy to wrap and ship.

How's 15 bucks each sound? Where's it going to?

You will have to take it off with the backing plate. I ordered a new bushing and had a machinist weld the shaft up and turned back down for a snug fit.I think he removed the shaft from backing plate brake assembly which is not easy.

anybody know what is involved in removing the shaft from the backing plate?its already off the tractor and seperated from the drum and shoes are removed.

I only sell 'goodens'. Obvious junk goes in the scrap bin 'pronto'(little spanish lingo for ya there). I can't have somebody disappointed in something I send out.
