2N front tires

I just did that to my 9N. I bought used 8N hubs and wheels. They fit the same spindles and use the same bearings. I then bought 6.00 - 16 rib tires for it. Looks MUCH better and was real easy!

If you have the small 19 inch tires and want to go bigger there was a 16 inch wheel make for a 9n and 2n ford. i have a set on my 9n.

i have been thinking about the same type of idea, thinking of taking to a wheel shop to match the bolt pattern with some after market rim, maybe even chrome, spokes, etc....

They do sell blank rims that a person can take the centers out of the 19 inch rim cut them down and then weld them into the 16 inch rims. Ya a lot of work but it can be done

Here's a pic: with 8N hubs, wheels and 6.00 - 16 tires.

I have a pair of Ford car hubs and rims that I got off a 2N tractor. The hubs look like 2N hubs until you try to put 2N rims on them. The bolt circle is about 3/4" smaller than the tractor bolt circle. The rims are 16" and had 6.00 x 16 tires on them.

The hubs are a direct swap on your 2N spindles. They are available (hubs and rims) if you're interested.

The photo shows the car hubs with a 2N rim on the left and a car rim on the right for comparison. Notice the tractor rim holes don't line up with the hub lugs.

I can send you more pics if you are interested in this route.

8N hubs and wheels are the easiest solution

9N-2N 16"
if you can find them.....
in the top pic, car wheels WITH the car hubs
(as said, the bolt pattern is just a little different)
bottom pic are standard 16" 9N/2N wheels and hubs.
very hard to find
