Where do you put hydraulic oil into a 2n.. my ford manuel from
smiths old time ford is back ordered.. Where do you drain the oil..
and be specific I have never owned a ford before.. Thanks

The oil goes in by the shift lever, it flows to Hydraulic chamber and the to differential. There is 3 drain plugs underneath fo all 3 of the chambers. Youuse a "universal gear-hydraulic oil, such GL-5

Thanks Bruce.. I ordered the FO book and I have a parts manual book from Steiners tractor parts.. The FO book is back ordered and its such a nice day in Iowa thot would get some things done..

I use a 90w gear oil in my hydro/tranny works really good and less noise from the different components/gears. However I do live in Florida so I can get away w/using heavier oil. Had to put my two cents in. Happy New Year.
