3 bottom plow

Brent.......NO, NOT 3-bottom plow. Designed to pull a 2-bottom 14"-plow. Will also pull single 16" bottom plow. It ain't gott the cajones to pull 3-bottoms. .......Dell

Brent-----no problem with the 2-row cultivators either....

Other commonly used implements for the N Tractors are:

6 foot disc
5 foot brush hog mowers
6 foot rear blade

ty, Tim i appreciate that help I'm new to this tractor and trying to figure what it can and cant do anything else it can pull or use please let me know so i can get some equipment- should be able to pick up a bale of hay with a 3 point shouldn't it?

Not likely to pick up much of a bale. At around 800lbs the front end will start coming up and off the ground and then you can not steer it and if more then that you could flip it over on top of your self. It will also handle a hay rake and a 6 or 7 foot sickle mower

Brent---you wrote you were "new to this tractor and trying to figure what it can and cant do."

I may have missed it, but what do you want to use the tractor for? There were posthole diggers, sickle bar mowers, cordwood saws, corn pickers, balers, and hundreds of other implements made to be used with this tractor....finding some of them is another chapter..

Give us an idea what your plans are for the tractor and we may be able to point you in the direction of some implements that would come in handy for you...

Tim

Perhaps, if your 9N is in decent condition, has good tires, added ballast and your soil is good.

A 2x12 or 1x16 is a better match.

Just removed 20 cement patio blocks (24" x 30", 1.75" thick, no idea of weight) today, to make a new wooden deck. My wife & I loaded them on a pallet on a set of rear forks I made for my '47 8N. It couldn't lift 8 of them. It lifted 7, but at every little bump, the front wheels came off the ground. Removed #7 & wheelie problem went away. This seems to indicate pump is doing it's job, but may be a tad weak? Not trying to hijack but my experience today seemed relative. My home-built "quick hitch" & fork setup worked awesome.

well i have a pretty good size garden about 1 1/2 acre i did it this yr by hand until i had a guy hurting for money and bought that tractor for 400.00 i didnt think i could go wrong but i have already rebuilt carb and new batteryand odds and ends but that is what i will be using it for along with a 5 acre pasture so i need to move hay bales and disc and plant that also. i like to deer hunt and hopefully it can bush hog also, if that is any help Tim and thanks for the posts and the help

Brent......you ask......"should be able to pick up a bale of hay with a 3 point shouldn't it?".......only iff'n its light (600-lbs) 'cuz the front wheels start wavin' in the air at about 800lbs. Typical spear loaded round-bales weigh 1000-lbs. Howsomevers; they make a very clever towable 2-wheel "doodle-bug" with "stinger" that reaches over the bale to load it on the "tray" between the wheels. Yer N-Tractor will tow that very easily.......Dell
