A friend has a 300 he is re doing and needs dash gauges. Would
appreciate any leads on gauges or someone who rebuilds them.
Thank you

I am not sure which300 you are referring to! But the 300 roundnose with the speedo, temp, amp, oil prs gas gauge cluster. A gentleman by the name of Joe DeMaio ph# 856 297 0644 restores those. Another option is rplacing with individual round gauges. I think if you search the case david brown forum for RPGcustoms you'll get an idea what an alternative may be. gobble

I've refurbished four gauge clusters, two 300's, a 630, and a 730. Never counted my hours but it's a bunch. Usually the light holders have been pulled out years ago and mud dobbers and other insects have made their home inside the cluster. The speedometer and tachometer have tiny springs that can be easily damaged if not cleaned up and oiled before trying to use them. Once done, they can be checked by turning ccw with a squared nail or piece of a cable. The other gauges also need cleaned and checked if they work. As far as I know, no gauges are available, if one doesn't work, you have to find a new one that best matches the original, and attach the Case face plate to it. I clean and paint all surfaces to stop the rust. The big cover all face plate needs cleaned and air brush painted, Rustoleum has a brown that matches. An artist with a steady hand can touch up the lettering. The cost of having it done is probably worth it.
