3010 and 3020 both had the LPG tank fully hidden. But there weren't a ton made. Tank stuck up on 4010 and 4020 LPG.

My reference says there were 2577 LPG 3010 out of 45,222 3010 made. 2070 early 3020 out of 68,652 made, and 126 LP out of 19,341 late 3020 made.

I think they were all hidden. A buddy told me there was a 3010 LPG at an auction. I looked at it from a distance and thought to myself he was nuts. Then I saw up close it was LP and the tank was under the hood nice and neat.

My 1st year 3020 is not hidden. I am thinking the early 3010s had hidden tank then the latter 3010s had visible. My 1964 model has an exposed tank but not nearly as tall as the 4020. Paul

I have a 3020 LPG with the exposed tank and have seen alot more like that than I have the ones with a hidden tank. NOt sure how rare but probably more than the ones with an exposed tank

Only 3010LP"s had the tank hidden. The 4010, 3020, and 4020"s where exposed.
This can be verified by looking at the JD online parts manuals and Green Mag.

All 3010 lpg's have the tank under the hood. 3020-4010,4020 all went through the hood and there were two tank size options on the 4020

All 3010's had the hidden tank. It was decided there was not enough capacity, so with the 3020, they went to the larger tank. 3010 row crops are not rare. 3010 lp standards are rare and desireable.
