3010 wiring

can anyone help with a wiring diagram to convert a 3010 jd to 12 volts

I use an Iskra starter and a 10si self exciting alt. with a starter relay under the cowl, this one has junk wiring so I'm re-doing the wiring as I go, you will need to change the fuel gauge too

Tim,I like where you put your relay.I like it out of the way.I was making a bracket and bolting mine onto the rear exhaust manifold bolt behind the side panel but will try your location on the next one.

I use to put them down on the starter or Manifold, but it looked bad,, I started putting them under the cowl a few years ago, I drill and tap a couple 1/4" holes in the steer valve frame then make up a little wire harness to tie it together.

Why the extra relay ?
Does the one built into the starter draw too much ?

Extra relay if wired correctly with large enough wires(which I'm sure Tim installs correctly) ensures that the starter solenoid excitement wire has plenty of amps. JD started doing from factory the same thing on several models including side console 3020/4020's

Yes with out it there is like a slight delay when you twist the key, and it will soon burn the switch out,, the new Gens all have one on the fire wall.
