3020 diesel coolant

Was bushogging this afternoon with my 3020 and been going about an hour and noticed a little stream of anifreeze coming around the radiator cap and running down. I have a manual temp gauge on the tractor and it was running in the 180-190 range. Has around 25 hours on a new motor. Is this common on these or is it a problem. thanks

Could be a plugged overflow line or a bad cap if it comes out The cap and not the overflow That would be the 1st thing to check.

If the radiator was completely FULL, the liquid had to go somewhere when it got hot and expanded. I wouldn't worry about it unless it continued to leak.

If the overflow tube isn't plugged look for a leak in the filler neck or top tank. Could also be a defective new radiator cap or cap seal.

When cool, coolant level is 1" (roughly) above the core, per some tractor manual I read. That gives it room to expand yet not expel. The coolant in the tank doesn't do a thing for cooling ability anyway. Took me a long time in growing up to realize that.
