How do they calculate gallons from pounds for pricing this stuff. When they say its 500 dollars a ton. how do they figure it. I must be missing something when i figured out my bill.

The long version: 32% weighs 11.05 pounds per gal. 28% weighs 10.65 pounds per gal. Divide either in a ton to get gallons then divide that into the cost per ton. Unit price is as follows: 32% has 640 units per ton 28% has 560 units per ton. $500 per ton divided by 640 equals .78125 cents per unit times application rate of 120 units per acre equals $93.75 per acres or tears which ever. Then add the chem and application. Most have 140 bucks wrapped up BEFORE seed is in the ground. By the way cost per unit will be the same 28 or 32%. 28 will cost less per ton, and if not find another supplier.
