359 case engine

On the tractor pull forum there was a discussion about a 360 cubic inch class. I asked the question about a case motor for this class to put in a 930. Someone said to start with a 359 case motor. What engine is this and will it bolt to a 930 housing?

The 359 is the CDC/Case engine used in the 1896/2096, Maxxum, and smaller MX series tractors. Can"t help you on the fitting one to a 930 though.

On a 1896-2096 there is a bell housing bolted between the engine and the torque tube. The 96 series tractors are a 2094-2294 with a CDC engine rather than the 504. So the housing is in there to make up the engine length difference & adapt the 5.9 to the torqe tube. This bell housing should bolt up to a 930 row crop rearend. I think I am correct with all this unless someone knows something else.
